Telling tales from around the world

Savage Night

Someone who saw this asked me who ‘they’ are meant to represent. And what was the strange thing they were doing. And who is the we? And What should we have done?

And she got rather annoyed when I answered, “You know… don’t tell me you don’t know…” and didn’t discuss it further…

  1. Gimp-mania! That’s my guess… The three little pigs downloaded Gimp and they are smitten!

    • That could work…
Actually, I’ve got a bizarre Frankenstein arrangement now, with a tiny notebook that has Photoshop still on it, on a switch from the mouse/keyboard/monitor, so I can still use it. I’ve got Gimp on the big one, but the problem is, of course, that I can use Photoshop without thinking now – it pretty much responds to my every little request – I’m at least a year or two off from that with Gimp, assuming I was using it every day… another ugh…
You ever get those times when you feel like you’re being nibble to death by ducks? I’m having a week where the quacks are becoming deafening…

  2. Ducks here too.

My, what a literal response to something whimsical. So is Gimp a photo program or an art program or both?

    • Gimp is an open-source image/photo manipulation programme. It’s very good and it’s free and can deliver very similar results to Photoshop. And it has a similar learning curve to Photoshop. And even though I would consider myself highly skilled at Photoshop, I struggle with Gimp because I can’t act on intuition, I have to figure out how to do things.

      We’ve got to quack back, I think…
