Telling tales from around the world

I really hate the whole idea of ‘crazy busy.’ Been there, done that – it’s no way to lead a proper life. You just end up with endless task lists duly completed, but no sense of having lived or living… But these days, it’s been rather like that. There’s no getting caught up, never mind getting ahead. All good stuff, but just a wee bit too much of it. No real end in sight, though the holidays should provide a bit of a respite… if I’m lucky. And on a cruise… lost at sea… somewhere in the southern ocean where no one can find me and there’s no phone and I’m too cheap to pay for internet and really don’t care what’s going on in the world – as if me knowing about another murder or two would matter a whit…

I can’t wait.

    • Thanks – funny that I took it months ago and sat on it, couldn’t decide if I liked it or not. then its time arrived and there was no question…

  2. Oh I definitely love it. It’s perfect.

I didn’t look at my phone or the Internet once while we were gone. Loved it.

    • Unfortunately I had to keep an eye on the business until the 21st… but fortunately, most of my customers were sorted before I left… And – it turned out I have achieved Platinum Status with Princess Cruises (woo hoo!) and so, they gave us 250 minutes of free internet. Not worth much in the real world, but it’s 80 cents per minute on the ship… so it was nice to have. But when it ran out, I didn’t buy more.

      • I know. It’s so expensive on the ship. We didn’t bother to purchase any minutes. I don’t do facebook, but Corey does, so he was a in a bit of withdrawal, but he survved.

      • I know I spend too much time on Facebook, but didn’t have any withdrawal issues… I really like the sensation of ‘leaving it ALL behind’ because it will still be there when I return.
However, I still end up spending a lot of time on the computer because I take so many photos… If I waited til I got home to process them – well… I would never be able to get through them all…

      • I was so laid back when we were on vacation, that I actually didn’t take enough pictures–can you believe it?

      • No. I can’t. But then – I took close to 2000 photos in 17 days… and I still missed a few shots
