Through the Light

Just before Christmas, brutally cold in Manhattan, wind whipping like a lash, dashing from shop to shop, warmth to warmth. Mostly laughing but also freezing. And wishing.

Then we stepped in Henri Bendel where we were given cider and macadamia chocolate cookies and stopped and stared in awe. And while my frugal nature would never ever allow me to purchase a handbag that cost a week’s salary, never mind a month or two – it was utterly indulgent being there, picking them up, turning them over and admiring the exquisite workmanship. Mmmm… I’m so glad I snapped this photo…
