Spent a good part of today sorting out photos for a competition. It’s a funny sort of thing to do – amazing how those ‘great’ photos you adored when you took them (and blogged them!) don’t stand up over time. And funny how some of them do. This is actually the very first photo I ever put into any kind of competition. It was judged as a beginner’s photo and received honours – which gave me huge confidence, much needed at the time.
Came upon it again today and thought I should have lightened up those shadows a bit and surely there must have been an adoring bull lurking somewhere, popping his head in… but just because we have the technology, doesn’t mean we should be using it… I like it just fine – just the way it is

A big ummm….soon as it opened up. Lovely. And look…there…either a couple making out, or a wife burying her cheating husband…bottom left…
It’s absolutely gorgeous.. I love the colours, the mist, in fact everything about it. Superb!
It’s lovely just as it is.
