Summer rain

It was mid afternoon, it should have been bright, but the clouds were so heavy and the rain so dense it seemed more like dusk. Yet the pongas (ferns) seemed to glow as if there was some celestial spotlight aimed at them.

  1. I’m thinking these would be nature’s “umbrellas” from underneath. Love how the light filters through the fronds of the ferns. Yes, we loved to be out in the rain as children too. Thanks for reminding me of a time life was going from one delight to another and yes, Mom’s cautions sprinkled in between šŸ™‚

    • I wish I could enjoy this rain… it has been so relentless now – with a few bright spots here and there – but it feels too much like a warm winter than a proper summer… It occurs to me it’s been a few years since I went for a walk in the rain. Perhaps tomorrow… if I encounter anything interesting – I will report back. šŸ˜‰
