BBQ mishap

Don’t try this at home! This wasp got a bit lost and lodged himself in the onion dip… Sylvia didn’t notice – until it was too late… Ouch!

Feeling a bit flu-ey this cold winter night – memories of summer that make me appreciate winter.

  1. OH good Lord. Wasps just are not good in onion dip! We could have told her that 🙂

  3. Well the wasp should have known better than to try to swim in onion dip. I would have hated to be the person to dish this up on a chip.

    • That would be my daughter, who got stung twice on the back of her tongue – and before she knew what was going on – she bit the wasp! She’s had a lifelong antipthy with bees and wasps – if they are around, they will find her – or she will find them…

      • Oh horrors. That’s a terrible thing to happen. I’m one of the fortunate ones who has only been stung once, and that wasn’t bad. Of course, now that I’ve said that . . .

      • Lucky you! I still remember the first time I was stung by a wasp – I was looking at naked pictures – of the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel, but my little 10 year old mind was not interested in art, only the naked-ity there before me! And I was just in the middle of realising that looking at them was a sin and was it a mortal sin or a venial sin and how I was going to have to confess it on Saturday so I oculd take communion on Sunday. Then – zwing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! it got me – I was sure it was sent by god…
