Wow! This is duck indeed.
High quality of your photos (photo perfection) catch the eye and awake your heroes – enable the shots to talk eloquently/convincingly and loudly. Butterly in Plaster was sat back in an awe. Thank you.
Thank you Tomas! Such kind words. I must give the duck a good portion of the credit – he was just exquisite and posed so patiently – you might think he was getting paid. And the light was rather nice and soft that day as well… And of course, I gave it my best – ha ha!
Lita! Do you expect me to be an expert on every animal I photograph??? Ha ha! OK, OK… I did a bit of research and learned that this is a wood duck. As to what makes a wood duck a wood duck – I wouldn’t have a clue, would I? Well I would if I would look it up I suppose. Of course this wood duck sat and posed for me as if he were make of wood, so perhaps I would think that’s why. Wood you?

Is this a teal or a wood duck? Or is there a difference? Love the coloring.
