Rain drop

with 4 comments

I kept waiting for this droplet to let go, fly free… I waited and waited and finally gave up.

It’s gone now, though.

  1. Cool photo! I kept waiting for the raindrop to let go, too–it’s that realistic-looking!

    • While I am now very fond of it – what I was really hoping for was the shot right after it fell… swooping down. That would have been something…

  2. Very cool shot. What kind of plant is that?

    • That is a close up of a twiggy end of a branch of a Tanekaha tree. It’s a tall (8 metre) tree that sits right outside my office window, so I see it all day long, so close to the house I can touch it if I reach out the window just slightly.
I just googled it and learned the NZ native actually is a tree without leaves – the green is just a flattened branch. http://www.treknature.com/gallery/photo6242.htm Very cool… I love on Tanekaha Road…
