Sunset at Sea

I think this was the most perfect sunset I have ever seen, travelling around the northeastern coast of Australia.  I stood out there admiring it until the last smudge of fire had left the sky.

  1. It’s perfect without anything else. The dolphin would have been nice, a few sails perhaps, but what about the vast expanse of open sea, unruffled, leading far away into the sunset?

    • That’s what I thought when I looked at this picture. I was putting the frame on it and wondering what words were going to wend their way onto the image when my husband came in and said, ‘that’s nice, but there’s nothing happening, you need a ship or a bird or a dolphin or something…’ Silly man…
