Winter Willow

This remarkable tree was illuminated by the reflected lights of a rugby game being played on the pitch across the road. I think it’s wonderfully eerie.

  2. Wow that’s incredible. I want one of those in my yard!

    • Are you in a wet part of Texas? A little on the cool side???

I especially loved the overgrown ones when I was a kid – the branches will go right down to the ground – a brilliant place to hide…

  3. Fabulous shot. Gives me a sense of deep aloneness…

    • That it does… Funny, I took this two years ago, then last year I went to the same place to take a slightly different version, and there was no game going on across the way, so the floodlights weren’t lit – not the same effect at all…

  4. Brilliant shot. The lighting is perfect. I love willows but haven’t had luck with them surviving in my yard. Have planted two, but both died.
