Telling tales from around the world

They weren’t bothering anyone.  I spotted them working away, moseyed over and stuck my lens in. They didn’t seem to mind.

The owner of the garden was, however, most deeply horrified. As we were leaving, I spotted her heading for the nest with a can of bug spray.

I feel kind of guilty. Even if they were ‘just’ wasps.

  1. I used to feel guilty too, until I got stung by a few of them 😦

  2. Yeah… I’ve been stung several times. my youngest daughter, whom wasps will sting at every available opportunity (she recently had one land on a chip with dip – which she stuck in her mouth and got her tongue stung!) has no qualms about killing them – she declared they are just wasps, they don’t contribute anything – completely indifferent to the slaughter about to take place…
