I have a fascination for religious iconography. All religions, all over the world – but especially western religions since I am western. I found this guy lurking over the entrance to an old building on Manhattan’s west side.
Taurus was Zeus disguised as a white bull with golden horns – mad for the Phonoecian princess, Europa. As the bull, he became her friend and then carried her off to Crete, revealed himself and married her. And here is is – still hanging about – waiting?
