One of my final work activities was an afternoon on Waiheke Island at the Mudbrick Winery, for some hedonistic wine tasting and a bit of a romp through the vineyards and lavendar.     • I hadn’t thought of that – the wines at local wineries are indeed brilliant. New York wines have not improved? You can’t even get them here. Not even California wines make the cut… hmmm…
