It’s funny the things you stumble over walking in the woods sometimes. This little ramshackle hut – too small for anything really – except for a child’s playhouse. But where is the big house? Why would someone build a playhouse deep in the woods, where no child could possibly find their way back home? A bit Hansel & Gretel…
Mt Aspiring Mist

Spent a good part of today sorting out photos for a competition. It’s a funny sort of thing to do – amazing how those ‘great’ photos you adored when you took them (and blogged them!) don’t stand up over time. And funny how some of them do. This is actually the very first photo I ever put into any kind of competition. It was judged as a beginner’s photo and received honours – which gave me huge confidence, much needed at the time.
Came upon it again today and thought I should have lightened up those shadows a bit and surely there must have been an adoring bull lurking somewhere, popping his head in… but just because we have the technology, doesn’t mean we should be using it… I like it just fine – just the way it is

This is when you REALLY want to be a palm reader! Or have one handy… This lady lives just up the road from me – ran into her in her altogether on the way home this afternoon… Medusa had nothing on her!!!
Sorry I’ve been missing out a day or so here and there… the wedding is 8 days away… energies are going elsewhere…
