Cleo’s fronds

You could argue that this has been photoshopped past being a photograph, and I wouldn’t argue. But what I like about was what you see – all those lines, on the palm frond, their stems, the windows, the smaller palms feathering up from below… I am pretty sure these are the very palms that wafted breezes past Cleopatra as she sweltered in the scorching Egyptian sun. Their life is a tad easier these days…

How strange. I was thinking about Cleopatra’s eyeliner (as depicted in all of the movies) just a bit earlier. Great minds and all that . . .
